The United Illuminating Company and Connecticut Light and Power are offering rebates on Energy Star Ductless Split Heat Pumps (DSHP). 

Requirements for $1000: To receive your DSHP rebate for $1000, the heat pump must be installed in a home or zone, which currently is heated by hard-wired, permanent electric resistance heat.  The DSHP must be AHRI rated and ENERGY STAR qualified.  (Minimum: 14.5 SEER, 12 EER, and 10 HSPF)

Requirements for $500: To receive your DSHP rebate for $500, the DSHP must be AHRI rated and ENERGY STAR qualified.  (Minimum: 14.5 SEER, 12 EER, and 8.2 HSPF)

The United Illuminating Company offers a rebate for Geothermal Heat Pumps.

Qualifying customers will receive a $500 rebate for each ton of air conditioning capacity up to $1500.

This rebate will coordinate with the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Geothermal Rebate.

The United Illuminating Company and Connecticut Light and Power are offering an Appliance Rebate Program, which offers rebates for Energy Star and AHRI Qualified Central Air Systems.  

Central Air Split Systems offers a $500 rebate per unit with the installation of an Energy Star unit with Minimum 15 SEER/12.5 EER

Packaged Systems offers a $500 rebate per residence with the installation of an Energy Star unit with Minimum 14 SEER/12 EER

Ductless Heat Pumps offers a $500 rebate per residence with the installation of an Energy Star unit with Minimum 15 SEER/12.5 EER/8.5 HSPF

This is a government-funded rebate that offers great savings for geothermal investors.  The program expires on April 30, 2012.

Rebate Amount -

Residential (New Construction) à $1,200 per ton of air conditioning capacity up to 6 tons

Residential (Retrofits of Existing Buildings) à $ 2,000 per ton of air conditioning capacity up to 6 tons
Commercial for Profit à $1,200 per ton of air conditioning capacity up to 100 tons (Schools- 150 tons)

Commercial Not-For-Profit à $2,000 per ton of air conditioning capacity up to 100 tons (Schools- 150 tons)
